About us

The Grouse Nest was a lifelong dream of ours; a resort originally meant to host charity events, festivals, and galleries featuring local artists. Brian’s grandparents immigrated from Ukraine to Canada as children as their families Ironically fled Russian oppression, and we see Russia’s current invasion of Ukraine as a further attack on our family.

To help, we are leasing the property to the organization for $1 per year and injecting funding to help Ukrainian families in need. We are currently renovating with the help of volunteers to expand our capacity for those fleeing from the war.

With getting to know our Ukrainian Guests and the suffering of their friends and families back home we have expanded our mission scope to help establish a Ukrainian Rehabilitation Center for the treatment of children that have suffered physical and psychological injuries.
